The short version

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. The font is served from this domain too, so apart from the host, Netlify, no outside company sees that you visited. Inseural holds personal data only if you submit the contact form or send an email.

What is collected

If you submit the contact form: your first and last name, email address and message; optionally your phone number and company; your consent to this notice; and which language version of the site you used, so the reply comes in the same language. With every form submission, Netlify also automatically stores your IP address, your browser type, the time and the page you submitted the form from. Nothing else.

The host, Netlify, records standard server logs on every page view (IP address, timestamp, browser type) for security and abuse prevention, as any web server does. Netlify is a US company, so these logs may also be processed outside Switzerland. Inseural does not use them to identify or profile you.

Why it is collected

Solely to read your message and reply to it. Inseural does not add you to a mailing list, does not sell or share your details, and does not use them for advertising or profiling.

The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, and the legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, the hosting provider, on servers in the United States. Submitting the form therefore transfers your data outside Switzerland and the EEA. Netlify is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council and the European Commission have found to provide adequate protection, and is contractually bound to process the data only on Inseural's instructions.

To detect spam, Netlify checks every form submission with Akismet, a service of Automattic Inc. (USA) that Netlify uses as a sub-processor.

If this matters to you, please do not use the form. Write to kontakt@inseural.ch or by post instead; neither is stored at Netlify. Email to Inseural is held by the email provider, Zoho, in its EU data centre.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact, then deleted. If you ask for yours to be deleted sooner, it will be.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and the GDPR where it applies to you, you may:

  • ask what Inseural holds about you, and receive a copy
  • have inaccurate details corrected
  • have your data deleted
  • receive your data in a common electronic format
  • withdraw your consent or object to the processing
  • complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or your local supervisory authority

To exercise any of these, write to kontakt@inseural.ch. You will get a response within 30 days, and you will not be asked to justify the request.

Who is responsible

The controller for the data described here is Anna Peter, who runs Inseural, Zürich, Switzerland.

For data protection requests, use kontakt@inseural.ch, the contact form or post. The full postal address is available on request and is given in any correspondence.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the date at the top is updated. A change is never applied retroactively to data already collected.
